Eligibility and requirements

Are you ready to become a diver?

Participants must satisfy the applicable SSI requirements and be medically suitable for scuba training.

Age requirement The SSI Open Water Diver program generally has a minimum age of 10. Youth depth and supervision limits may apply.
Water fitness assessment Participants must complete the required swim and survival-float assessment before open-water training.
Medical questionnaire Certain medical conditions may require written clearance from a qualified doctor before diving.
Understanding instructions Students must understand course information, safety instructions and underwater communication.
Toursongo does not provide medical clearance. Participants must disclose relevant health information honestly and follow the instructions of the authorised training centre and diving professionals.

Is this a one-time recreational scuba activity?

No. This package is intended for the SSI Open Water Diver certification course and includes structured learning, skill practice and open-water training.

Is the SSI certificate guaranteed?

Certification is not automatic. Students must complete the required learning, water-fitness assessment, practical sessions, open-water dives and instructor evaluations.

Do I need to know swimming?

Open Water Diver candidates must satisfy the applicable SSI water-fitness requirements. You should be comfortable in the water and must successfully complete the required swim and survival-float assessment.

How deep can an Open Water Diver go?

The standard adult SSI Open Water Diver training depth is up to 18 metres. Lower limits and additional supervision may apply to younger divers.

Are accommodation and equipment included?

Yes. The advertised ₹89,000 package includes stay, prescribed diving equipment, training and certification fees as specified in the final itinerary.

Are flights included?
